Young Lions Finland 2023 competition announces 23 entries for the shortlist

Young Lions

The esteemed juries of the Young Lions Finland 2023 competition have selected 23 entries for the shortlist.

This year, 44 teams entered the competition, submitting a total of 50 entries. Of these, 22 teams impressed the judges and made it to the final round, with one team having entries in two competitions on the shortlist.

The Young Lions Finland competition is searching for the future stars of the marketing and communications industry to represent Finland at the international Cannes Young Lions Competition. Competitors aged 30 years old or younger could enter seven competitions: Design, Digital, Film, Marketers, Media, PR, and Print. Each competition has its own jury.

The Young Lions Finland juries consist of 38 experienced marketing and communications professionals from a wide range of organizations, both local and global. These jury members offer their experience and insight to the next generation of creative marketing and communications leaders.

This year, the judges emphasized the insight, idea, and potential impact of the entries. They are searching for creative work that exceeds normal awareness and goes beyond conventions.

The competition will continue this week with closed judging sessions for the Design, Film, and Print competitions. The shortlisted teams in the Digital, Marketers, Media, and PR competitions have a chance to present their work in front of the juries during the second round of judging.

The winners will be announced on Friday, April 21, at the Young Lions Finland Awards Ceremony. The best of the finalists will receive bronze, silver, or gold prizes. The gold-winning teams from each of the seven competitions will be awarded a pass to compete against their international counterparts in the international Cannes Young Lions Competition and to join the Cannes Festival of Creativity in Cannes, France, in June 2023.
