Ten rising stars of marketing and communications have been selected through the Young Lions Finland to represent Finland at the international Young Lions Competitions in Cannes.
Each year, the Young Lions Competitions Finland searches for marketing and communications talents aged 30 or under to compete internationally in Cannes.
This year, 34 teams took part in the national competition, submitting a total of 45 entries for jury evaluation. Out of these, 17 entries were shortlisted across five different categories: Digital, Film, Media, PR, and Print.
The five top-performing teams, one from each category, will go on to compete in the international finals in Cannes, held concurrently with the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
Dialogue and Inclusive Peacebuilding Deserve Attention
This year’s competition brief focused on tackling a timely emotional challenge related to global peace and communication.
The brief was provided by CMI – Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation.
”It has been a true pleasure and honour for CMI Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation to be part of delivering the Cannes Young Lions competition in Finland. Dialogue and inclusive peacebuilding don’t always receive the attention they deserve – even though they are at the very core of sustainable peace. It has been inspiring to see how young professionals have taken on this complex theme and managed to turn it into something meaningful, action-oriented and full of insight”, says Kaisa Raitio, Head of Communications and Private Fundraising at CMI.
”Their ideas have brought joy to our team, sparked surprises, and invited us to reflect on how peace work is perceived through the eyes of today’s creative minds. I hope these ideas will continue to inspire conversation around peacebuilding long after the competition. A heartfelt thank you to all participants – your work proves that peace can be communicated in ways that are fresh, powerful and deeply resonant” Raitio adds.
